Dale Alcock Homes

It’s all about home construction…

Home Building ConstructionWest Australians who are planning to build their own home are wise to take a good look at the construction process set out by their preferred builder.

And in the same way, Dale Alcock Homes (DAH) continuously appraises its processes to ensure they meet best practice standards in the building industry – and that they represent superior customer service. Having said that, it’s the added extras that most often set DAH apart from others in the building industry.

Home Building Construction SeminarFor example, DAH is the only WA building company to invite clients to a comprehensive construction seminar.  Delivered by senior members of the construction team, the seminar is unique to DAH customers and is designed to carefully inform clients about what to expect during the construction phase. This helps customers understand more about the building process and the different stages of construction.

In addition, DAH had identified the importance of the relationship between the site manager and the client and as a result has 4 structured meetings during the construction process.

The newly introduced fourth meeting is known as the pre key handover meeting which is carried out onsite.  It’s an opportunity for clients to review the house before key handover takes place with their client liaison and has been implemented as another benefit to clients, in what has become a well-honed transparent and streamlined process.

As a result of this ‘added extra’, clients are offered four standard meetings on site, which are known as:

-          Brickwork

-          Lock up (a detailed discussion of the ceramic tiling layouts)

-          Pre-Handover

-          Pre Key Handover Meeting

This is another example of DAH going that step further to offer customers a superior service. Perhaps that’s one reason why so often homes are advertised for sale in the real estate section as a ‘Dale Alcock Home’.

Home Building Construction - Site ManagerIn fact, there are many ways in which DAH offers its customers more.  The company has vigilant on-site practices to ensure a clean, safe site, resulting in improved productivity and quality of workmanship. Through years of industry experience, they have identified that site managers’ volumes need to be at a manageable level to ensure best outcomes for clients. The DAH construction team currently have over 40% registered builders on staff.

In addition, the newly created role of Assistant Construction Manager means the new strata of site managements supports and assists with communication and collaboration between suppliers and tradespersons, working towards best outcomes for clients.

And then there’s the inspections carried out by Area Construction Managers, which can take place at any time. DAH’s designated Relief Site Managers step into the Site Manager’s role during periods of leave.  This ensures Site Managers are not given increased workloads of homes to manage when their colleagues are sick or on annual leave.

So when it comes to customer service, good communication, superior building processes and industry best practice there are many things that add up to the DAH difference.
