I’m starting to pull my hair out organising trades. On Wednesday I had FOUR different trades on site at the same time!

This is a special post for me, as it’s something that I just really love. We did this at our previous home and it was without a doubt one of the most transforming things you can do to a house. Poured Limestone.

Melissa and I decided we wanted to do a pour of some kind, I hate ants and weeds which you will get in brick paving, we considered aggregate, and limestone. We had limestone previously and just loved it. It’s cool, it’s pleasant to look at, nice to walk on, and the kids love it. We ended up deciding that we wanted to do the limestone around the back and sides, to match the cream brick-work, and an aggregate pour out the front once our garden brickwork is finished.

Enter Nugget Concrete. These guys are damn good at what they do (concrete products). Steve listens very carefully to your requirements and will make professional recommendations if you aren’t sure of what you want. When the boys did our last house we were really happy with their professionalism and quality of work, why wouldn’t we get them back again? Not to mention they have one of the best rates per square metre in the industry.

Steve and the team arrived on time, set up the form work, levelled the earth and began the pour as soon as the concrete truck arrived. We went for the same ‘random pattern’ that we had at the old house, it came up a treat!

The very next day the guys came back to clean up, quick-cut, and seal the limestone. It’s just great! Looking forward to getting the outdoor furniture in and cranking up the BBQ!
